St. Simon of Cyrene was a bystander during Our Lord's Passion. Roman soldiers demanded that he help Jesus carry His cross. How often are we thrust into a situation of suffering we didn't choose. We pray we have the humility to accept these trials and embrace them for love of Our Lord.
