Bl. Pier Giorgio was truly a humble servant of Our Lord and the poor. He considered it a privilege to be their slave, giving all he had, even his bus fare, and then he would run home to make it time for meals. 

He was an avid outdoorsman and is often remembered for his "Verso L'alto" which means "to the heights." For in all he did he directed his intentions towards the true summit, the ascent to Our Lord Himself. Bl. Pier Giorgio, pray for us!
